For most applications and up to a temperature of 200 °C we use:

• PTFE virgin
• PTFE/Glassfiber
• PTFE/Graphite

For higher temperatures and/or pressures we can also use other high performance plastics such as:

PEEK PVX, Sintimide,...

Those materials allow permanent temperatures of more than 250 °C and for short time use temperatures of up to 300 °C.

Chemical stability has to be checked in every case.

For abrasive media and/or higher temperatures hardened metal seats are used.

A special procedure known as kolsterising is used in order to abtain the chemical characteristics of the perforated disc.
